Homicide detectives are working to figure out who fatally shot a 22-year-old man early Sunday morning in Seattle's Mount Baker neighborhood.

Watkins said neighbors have become "numb" to gun violence, and she isn't confident the city will be able to keep the area safe when a new park opens across the street. Neighbor Jay Gollyhorn placed balloons at the scene of the shooting as a small tribute to the victim who died.Gollyhorn was one of the neighbors who called 911 when he heard the shooting.
