Rescue workers at the scene after the police helicopter crashed near Tawau last night.

He said they will inspect the wreckage, the crash site as well as record statements from the crew and witnesses to establish what led to the crash. The aircraft had taken off from the Tawau airport and was about to touch down at the General Operations Force’s 14th Battalion camp, some 10 minutes away, when it crashed.
