An investigation is underway after a student allegedly brought a weapon to a middle school in Utah County.
According to an email sent to parents by the school's principal, it states that a student reported a rumor they heard to staff about a possible gun at Viewpoint Middle School in Lehi. The email goes on to say that a school resource officer removed the alleged student from class and found a firearm in the student's backpack.The incident remained under investigation.
