Investigators do not believe that the cause of death is in any way related to the Line Fire.
Authorities are investigating the discovery of human bones in San Bernardino County over the weekend. The remains were found on Saturday at around 3:45 p.m., when deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Twin Peaks station 'were on proactive patrol' in a closed area of Highway 330, according to a statement from the department. 'The bones were later determined to be that of a human,' the statement said.
'The bones appear to have been in that location for an extended period of time.'Deputies also called the Coroner's Office to the location in order to collect the bones. They will work on identifying the person and the possible cause of death.
