Inverness CT chairman Ross Morrison admits the club could scrap plans to move their training base to Kelty. But there would be a £400,000 gap to plug as a result.
Duncan Ferguson's squad would train in Kelty during the week, and only travel up to Inverness on matchdays, meaning the ICT players would only be in the Highland capital once every fortnight. Fans have accused Morrison, and CEO Scot Gardiner of costing the club it's identity and want the move reversed. Morrison admits that could happen, but then would leave relegated Caley with crippling costs still to cover.
"We signed an agreement with Kelty. It's a done deal, but you can get out of done deals. The problem is where do we get the money to supplement the savings that we make by going down there? Peeved punters have threatened to boycott buying season tickets ahead of the 2024/25 season. But Morrison warns that would make the situation worse and risk players and staff not being paid.
