The crabs are medium-sized crabs, about 3-inches wide, and they can vary in color from brownish orange to greenish brown, according to ODFW.The department said they prey on native species, consume fish eggs and compete for food, potentially impacting native fish and crayfish populations.The department is asking anyone that sees a crab that resembles a Chinese mitten crab to report it at 1-866-INVADER or use the online Oregon Invasive Species reporting hotline.
