Perfumer Tom Daxon has launched a new hand care brand called gloved, using the same know-how that defines his fragrances.
With the increased focus on hand washing and use of drying antibacterial gel that has defined 2020, the timing couldn’t be better.
For gloved, Tom has worked with the same fragrance oil producers in Grasse that he has always collaborated with, the Chabert family of perfumers. His other collaborator is much closer to home – his mother Dale Daxon Bowers, who was the Creative Director of Molton Brown for over 30 years, and was able to help him perfect the formula.
At launch, the brand has two signature products – the Active-Hydrate Hand Wash and the Instant-Absorb Hand Lotion priced at £20 and £28 respectively. Both formulas are 100% vegan and 85% of natural origin. As well as producing products that are beautifully fragranced, minimal environmental impact was also a key goal. The packaging is mostly recyclable, with a glass bottle and aluminium cap, except for the plastic pump. However, the pumps can be used over and over again and customers can save £1 on every bottle purchased without one.
