The band also celebrates leader Ricky Muñoz's production No. 1 and a new catalog deal with Primary Wave Music.
The Texas-based band Intocable has now earned more RIAA Latin Diamond certifications than any other group, securing the second spot overall behind only Bad Bunny, who received the Billboard Latin Music Award for Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century.
In a statement, Intocable expressed that these honors go beyond mere sales and streaming figures. They stand as a testament to decades of unwavering fan loyalty, with supporters standing by the band through every stage of their musical journey. The group extended gratitude to the RIAA for this recognition and to every listener who has integrated their music into their lives. Their Instagram post celebrated six Latin Diamond certifications and hailed their fanbase for making history together.
The RIAA Latin Diamond (Diamante) certification is awarded for works with over 50% Spanish-language lyrics, requiring 600,000 combined units-where 1,500 on-demand audio/video streams equal 10 track sales, which in turn equal one album sale. Formed in Zapata in the early 1990s by Ricky Muñoz, René Martínez, Sergio Serna, Johnny Lee Rosas, Alex Gulmar, and Felix Salinas, Intocable uniquely blends Tejano, Norteño, pop, rock, and cumbia influences.
The band has sold an estimated 55 million albums and scored 15 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Regional Mexican Airplay chart. Leader Ricky Muñoz also recently achieved his first No. 1 as a co-producer on that chart for Grupo Frontera's 'Ojitos Bellos,' which topped the list dated July 18, 2026. In a separate business move, the group entered into an agreement with Primary Wave Music, covering their catalog as well as name, image, and likeness rights
