Anthony Albanese has been left chuffed after a positive and intimate meeting with outgoing United States President Joe Biden ahead of the Quad summit.

It is understood he is the first leader to meet at the President's house, which is also expected to host the other leaders of the Quad in Japan and India this weekend.Great to see you, my friend. ð¦ðºðºð¸Speaking to reporters after the gathering, Mr Albanese described it as a"great honour" to have been invited by Biden for a one-on-one chat and to see his residence.
In attendance for part of the meeting was Ambassador of Australia to the US Kevin Rudd, Ambassador of the US to Australia Caroline Kennedy, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Mr Albanese's delegation. "Today, I met with my friend, Prime Minister Albanese, to strengthen our innovation alliance so we can tackle shared challenges together," the caption of the post read.
Asked by a journalist if the President had words of advice after his 40-year political career, Mr Albanese said they had personal discussions which will remain private."Jill provided a very nice note for myself and Jodie who she gets on very well with. We had a chat about some personal things. They’ll stay personal. I can’t have been more pleased with the very warm welcome we received.
