The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a construction project this fall to replace the riding surface along a 14-mile section of Interstate 40 southwest of Kingman in Mohave County .Replacing and installing new embankment curb, drainage features and guardrail.Lane restrictions will be in effect throughout construction.The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the lane restrictions are in place.Work is scheduled to begin this fall and be completed early 2025. More information on the project schedule will be posted prior to the work starting.ADOT will provide updated information about project schedules and potential traffic impacts as information becomes available.
