In case you haven't heard, a North Bend zebra has been on the loose since escaping a trailer over the weekend.
Z, the missing North Bend zebra, has become a local legend, and the internet has taken notice, posting numerous memes and jokes on social media using Photoshop, artificial intelligence and any other manufactured-photo methods. Three of the four runaway zebras were corralled, but one, named Z, escaped. Z has been spotted several times this week but hasn't been captured.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said the four zebras got loose when a driver stopped to secure a trailer on eastbound Interstate 90 near the North Bend exit while heading to Montana Sunday afternoon. Video from the Citizen App shows the zebras running in traffic. Drivers hit the brakes and pulled off to the shoulder.
