The exhibit features montages drawn from more than 40 Disney films.
Scenes from"The Lion King" and more than 40 other animated classics will be woven together in"Disney Animation: Immersive Experience." The exhibit will make its San Antonio debut next week."Disney Animation: The Immersive Experience" will will make its Texas debut in the former home of "Immersive Van Gogh." As with the van Gogh show, visitors will be surrounded by Disney imagery, though there will be more interactive elements.
It is the product of a partnership between Walt Disney Animation Studios and Lighthouse Immersive, which presents immersive experiences around the world. Lighthouse made its San Antonio debut with the van Gogh show.Unlike"Van Gogh," which was more impressionistic, the new exhibit is designed to tell a story from start to finish. The narrative follows some youngsters on a very Disneyesque quest to make their dreams come true.
Visitors wear bracelets that light up in response to the visuals. Other interactive elements include bubbles that fill the space when"The Little Mermaid" appears and pixie dust swirling around when Tinkerbell flits about.
