Instagram will now let users add music to their photo carousels and collaborate with up to three individuals as co-authors on a post or Reel.
Instagram partnered with singer Olivia Rodrigo to unveil its new music feature which allows users to select licensed music to soundtrack their slideshows., Rodrigo shared a carousel of photos from her latest music video with the track playing over the images.
“Building off our launch of music for feed photos, anyone can add a song to capture the mood and bring their carousel to life.”to add music to soundtrack the images, which viewers can then swipe through at their own pace. TikTok launched Photo Mode in October last year. “Music is a key part of how people express their creativity and interests on Instagram. We’re excited to bring our music library to more countries over the coming weeks,” the company writes.
