Inside the ambitious plan to attract more people to Greater Manchester town
A £35m regeneration project which will see Bolton town centre undergo a huge transformation is underway. The Central Street Project, which will deliver 167 new rental homes boasting rooftop terraces and gardens, has entered a key phase, with the site fully prepared and foundations now being installed.
Placefirst appointed Caddick Construction and started work on the Central Street site in February this year. Work has also started to create new public space along the River Croal. “The way people shop has changed, and we are working to shift the focus away from just retail and instead offer a wider variety of reasons for people to live and visit here.
