Ducruet is the grandson of Grace Kelly and the Prince Rainer III of Monaco, and the son of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco and Daniel Ducruet. Ducruet and Chevallier’s love story began in 2011, when they met in Cannes and described their romance as “love at first sight.
On Friday, the Mayor of Monaco conducted the private civil wedding ceremony attended by members of the family, which was followed by a reception in the gardens of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. The bride wore a silk crepe jumpsuit designed by well known Barcelona bridal designer Rosa Clará, adorned with embroidered lace at the waist. The groom was in an elegant blue suit tailored by the Italian house Carlo Pignatelli.
On Saturday, the religious wedding at Monaco Cathedral was attended by more than 200 guests. As guests entered the cathedral, Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” was played. The bride pulled up to the church in a vintage white Rolls-Royce adorned with flowers. Chevallier stepped out of the car wearing a silk and Chantilly lace wedding dress, a custom collaboration between Atelier Boisanger and Pauline, her sister-in-law to-be. Along with its five meter train, the dress took over 300 hours of hand embroidery to create. Chevallier accessorized her look with a Cartier necklace. Ducruet donned a gray morning suit by Kim Jones’s Dior Homme.
The ceremony concluded with the couple laying flowers at the tombs of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier. Afterward, a reception was held at Monte Carlo Bay Hotel, where the Ducruet and Chevallier celebrated among their families, including Prince Albert II, Princess Caroline, and
