The Black in Fashion Council dinner kicked off NYFW with chic ensembles, a menu with Carbone favorites, and a whole lot of Beyoncé:

“I couldn’t have imagined this event happening 10 years ago, and it’s so beautiful to see—this event is even grander than the last one, so how it grows every time is awesome,”author Danielle Prescod added. “Sandrine and Lindsay do a lot of hard work and it’s really nice that we get to hang out, talk to each other, and celebrate ourselves.”
And it wouldn’t be a BIFC event without the fashion. Guests posed for photos in an assortment of fashion-forward styles showcasing Black designers like Harbison Studio, Telfar, and Studio 189. Charles and Peoples looked like the dynamic duo they are, making a statement in sleek black midi dresses styled with leather boots. But while NYFW takes place during Black History Month, the BIFC is committed to their work all 365 days of the year, not just the few weeks of February.
