Inside Dr. Kate Broderick's Fight To Contain Coronavirus Using DNA
When the genetic code of the virus was released on January 9, Broderick began working on a vaccine using a relatively new type of DNA technology. Her team at Inovio was given a $9 million research grant from the, an organization backed by Bill and Melinda Gates that supports the development of vaccines against emerging infectious diseases.
