Lee Butler said he can't wait for people to make new memories in the famous club as it reopens for the first time since 2005
The doors of the iconic Club 051 reopen later tonight with eager clubbers due to walk down its stairs for the first time since 2005.
"It's never looked as good as it has now. It's been chaotic to get to this point but exciting as well. It's been all hands to the pump this week. The lighting, sound, graphics are all incredible. The support we've had to get to this point is quite overwhelming. He added that despite the extensive damage in the building, his team got to the point where they "thought we could give it a go" and went full steam ahead to breathe new life into the famous space.
Resident Dave Graham emerged as one of the defining tastemakers at the club in the early 1990s, but it was the arrival of Butler, who previously made his name as a resident at The State, that began solidifying one of the most loyal crowds in the north west. This meant dedicated revellers would return week in, week out, to the club to share sacred musical experiences inside the sweat soaked walls.
