The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says an inmate at the jail was severely injured after intentionally falling from a second-floor mezzanine Wednesday.
Deputies say shortly after 11 AM they were notified that a woman needed help after falling and deputies arrived to help her.
We’re told after they reviewed the video, the woman left her bunk area, walked up a flight of stairs, and dove head-first over the railing onto the concrete floor below.
