MELBOURNE, Jan 22 ― Novak Djokovic is on track for a record-extending 10th Australian Open title but question marks remain over his fitness ahead of Monday’s fourth-round clash with Alex de Minaur as his injured left hamstring continues to cause problems.
All eyes will be on the bandages that drape the left hamstring when the 35-year-old takes on home favourite De Minaur who, like Djokovic, has dropped one set in Melbourne so far. Rublev, 25, believes ninth seed Rune will not be the underdog in their contest, with the Dane a dark horse at the tournament following his Paris Masters final victory over Djokovic in November.
Shelton will be competing in the last 16 of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career ― a remarkable achievement for the 20-year-old who a year ago was No. 569 in the ATP Rankings and still in college.
