Country music singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress has announced that she would be checking herself into a rehab facility.
On Monday, Andress opened the Home Run Derby with a rendition of the National Anthem in a performance that fans quickly pointed out as odd. Andress seemed off-key in some moments of the song, unlike past performances at events.On Tuesday, Andress posted a brief statement on various social media channels, revealing that she had been drunk during the performance and would be checking herself into a facility as a result.
“I’m not gonna bulls— y’all, I was drunk last night,” Andress wrote in the statement. “I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is. I hear it’s super fun.” She signed the missive “xo, Ingrid.
