SALT LAKE CITY — Local businesses are feeling the effects of inflation as the holiday shopping season approaches.
This is the first week of Salt & Honey's “Holiday Market” — a time of year when they bring in handmade items from over 50 local sellers and small businesses to display in the store. “A lot of what we hear is how they've been having to raise their prices because the cost of their materials has gone way up. I mean, I've heard a lot of people it's three times as much,” Smith said."It's a little bit harder for small businesses trying to kind of make those margins and make ends meet.”
