A child was hospitalized after a raccoon attacked him inside his family's home in Cassia County, Idaho. The incident happened on Monday when the child's mother returned home with the infant in a carrier. She heard a noise and found a raccoon attacking her child. She was able to grab the animal and stop the attack. The child was taken to the hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Salt Lake City for further treatment. The child's father and a sheriff's deputy later killed the raccoon.
