Indonesia is expected to celebrate Eid al-Fitr simultaneously with Islamic organizations in the country on Wednesday, April 10. The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Saiful Rahmat Dasuki, stated that the government predicts the first day of the month of Shawwal to fall on that day. The Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama also confirmed the date of 1 Shawwal after considering the results of the government's isbat session and expressed a similar date on April 10. The Muhammadiyah Islamic organization has already declared the celebration of Eid al-Fitr on the same date through a statement made in January.
JAKARTA: Indonesia dijangka menyambut hari raya Aidilfitri secara serentak bersama organisasi Islam di negara itu pada Rabu, 10 April ini.
“Dengan kondisi seperti itu, Insya-Allah Aidilfitri akan disambut bersama bagi seluruh umat Islam di seluruh Indonesia,” katanya dipetik portal Detik. Pertubuhan Islam Muhammadiyah pula sudah mengisytiharkan sambutan Aidilfitri pada tarikh serupa lebih awal menerusi kenyataan yang dibuat pada Januari lalu.
