It was part of an evening sponsored by the Arctic Encounter Symposium and full of live music, science talks and cocktails for those in attendance.
German ambassador Emily Haber presented Service High School with a School of Excellence for Germany award, which means the school has been accepted into a network of German schools that
are accredited through the German government to teach German and administer the European framework exam to students, setting up the pathway for students in Alaska to attend a German university.
