More than 5,000 fentanyl pills were found inside an Evansville home. A 3-year-old girl died after swallowing the pills and two other kids were treated for overdoses.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A young Indiana woman was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison for the death of her 3-year-old daughter who ingested fentanyl.
Defense attorney Jon Humphress asked for leniency, along with mental health and substance abuse treatment. Prosecutors sought a 30-year prison sentence.
