The Democratic Party is encouraging candidates to sign a 'contract with women' promising to restore abortion rights.

Indiana Democrats are attempting to appeal to women in their final push ahead of election day, with the state party encouraging each Democratic candidate to sign aThe state Democrats will make over a dozen stops across the state on their final tour until Oct. 28, attempting to drum up support from women for their slate of candidates.

Their hope is that by appealing to women the party can get some badly needed wins either breaking the supermajorities in the Indiana General Assembly or electing the first statewide Democrat in a decade. While there are certainly some women who support limiting abortions,Plus, experts say anger about an enacted policy usually drives turnout more so than excitement over a policy, which could help Democrats when it comes to the state's hastily passed abortion ban.

"I want to make sure that women know that this Nov. 8 is the time that they can make a difference for their personal freedom and autonomy when it comes to reproductive health," said Indianapolis Democratic Rep. Carey Hamilton, who is both running for reelection and was the brains behind the latest tour name."I do think that women can come and help us flip some seats and make a difference in Indiana.
