BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University unveiled the tribute they'll wear in memory of Coach Bob Knight this season.
He led the Hoosiers for 29 years, from 1972 to 2000, racking up 662 wins at IU, en route to 11 Big Ten regular season championships and five Final Fours, including national titles in 1976, 1981 and 1987. We will be honoring Coach Knight with commemorative patches on our home & away uniforms for the duration of the season.Indiana hosts Marian University for an exhibition game Friday night, the first game since Knight's passing. The Hoosiers open the regular season Tuesday, Nov.
"My earliest memories of him are growing up in southern Indiana, that's all I knew, you know, was Indiana basketball and Coach Bobby Knight," she told 13Sports director Dave Calabro Wednesday night.
