India’s richest man closes in on Jeff Bezos, says ugalani:
Reliance Jio has become India’s top mobile operator by subscribers, after rival Vodafone Idea on July 26 reported a decline in its user base. Jio, a unit of Mumbai-listed Reliance Industries, had earlier in the month reported a user base of over 331 million as of June, slightly ahead of Vodafone Idea’s to 320 million.
Vodafone Idea became the country’s top telecom operator following the merger last year of the local operations of Britain’s Vodafone with Idea Cellular.
