India 's economy grew by 5.4% in the second fiscal quarter ending September, below economist forecasts of 6.5% and the Reserve Bank of India 's expectation of 7%. The growth rate, the lowest since the last quarter of 2022, caused the yield on the country's 10-year sovereign bond to drop to 6.74% from 6.8%. Alicia Garcia Herrero from Natixis predicted a slowdown but not a collapse, with a forecast of 6.4% growth for 2025. The RBI's Monetary Policy Committee is set to meet on Dec.
