In advance of the upcoming primary, IndyStar will host town halls for the Republican and Democratic candidates for Indianapolis mayor.
The Democratic candidate town hall will be March 28 and the Republican town hall will be March 30. Both events will start at 7 p.m. and be held at the IndyStar, 130 S. Meridian St.
Oseye Boyd, IndyStar's public engagement editor, said hosting these events goes along with IndyStar's commitment to informing the community. "It's important to have an informed citizenry," she said."We want our Indianapolis residents to have a say in who their mayor is. We want people to feel like they made the best decision with the information they had."Town halls will be live-streamed; in-person spots limited
Those interested in attending the event should sign up on Eventbrite for a free ticket. In-person attendance is limited. The event will also be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube. People can submit questions for one or all of the candidates in-person on the day of the event or by emailing [email protected].
