An incredible new Star Wars VFX shot sees Boba Fett go head-to-head with an Imperial Star Destroyer - and showcases the raw power of one of the prequel trilogy's most impressive weapons. He may have reinvented himself as something of a crime lord by the end of The Book of Boba Fett, but most viewers will always think of Boba as a bounty hunter. Sometimes he worked for the Empire, and sometimes against them, from the Firespray still known to fans as Slave I.
How Dayton Busse Brought One Of Star Wars' Most Iconic Weapons To Life An incredible piece of VFX work Speaking exclusively to Screen Rant, Busse outlined his process. After the"money shot" was done, the 3D stuff on the other scenes was mostly just camera animation and some simple animation/fx on the ships and lasers, which was just tedious work. So I made some reuseable USD assets for the Star Destroyer, Slave 1, and the Lighting setup to make the work go by faster. I rendered everything out with many different passes and composited everything in Nuke.
