Survivle is the newest spin-off of the popular word puzzle game Wordle, only this time players need to avoid finding the correct answer.

Survivle, the latest in a long list of Wordle clones, turns the game on its head by having players do their best to avoid the correct answer. Wordle took over the internet towards the end of last year, when it exploded into popularity, increasing its daily play rate exponentially in a matter of weeks.

Due to Wordle's meteoric success it has spawned dozens of clone games, that take the core concept of Wordle and try to approach it from a new angle that will capture some of the original's popularity or snag a section of its fanbase. Many of these clones are simple reskins, which take Wordle and give it a theme so it might appeal to fans of that content. Lordle of the Rings is a LOTR-themed Wordle clone for example, and there is also such a one for MTG fans, among others.

Unsurprisingly, some of the best strategies in Wordle can be inverted, just like the game itself, to find winning techniques for Survivle. In Wordle, a player is served well by starting off with words that use as many different vowels as possible, as this helps significantly in narrowing down possibilities. Another common approach in Wordle is to find words constructed out of the most commonly used letters in the English language.

For all that there are countless Wordle clones on the internet at this juncture, it is always refreshing to discover one more that is not simply a grab for fame or popularity but actually has a worthwhile concept behind the game and is fun and different to play. Survivle certainly checks these boxes and has the added benefit of subscribing to the same philosophy as the original.
