By Noah Smith April 27 at 9:04 AM When Gordon Hayward’s fourth-seeded Boston Celtics begin their second-round series against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, the 6-foot-8 small forward will have almost fully recovered his form following a stomach-turning injury 18 months ago.
Hayward said fans talk to him before, during and after basketball games about video games more than anything else. Instead of an autograph or a selfie, young fans now want to team up with Hayward online. Hayward is a leading advocate for video game culture, writing essays defending the activity and saying he “grew up as videos games did.”
