Willie Nelson pays tribute to Uvalde families at Beto O'Rourke rally

Texas music legend Willie Nelson was about to leave the stage in Austin when he saw family members of Jackie Cazares, one of the 4th graders murdered in Uvalde. Nelson, 89, walked over to the edge of the stage at the Moontower Saloon and leaned over to the family members and said he knew they were going through some incredibly sad times.

“Remember it’s not something you ever get over but it’s something you will get through,” said Nelson, who himself dealt with the loss of his son and, more recently, his sister.Seeing family members of Jackie Cazares, one of the 4th graders murdered in Uvalde, he leans over and says “Remember it’s not something you ever get over but it’s something you will get through.”
