The wing’s chief Dr Akmal Saleh says Tommy Thomas must do so in the ‘interest of fairness’ amid calls for an explanation on Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s DNAA.
Dr Akmal Saleh also called for Tommy Thomas to clear the air over the authenticity of a purported leaked internal memo suggesting that the Attorney-General’s Chambers drop a 1MDB case involving former prime minister Najib Razak.
Akmal said Thomas must explain why he decided to drop charges against the then finance minister of corruption charges in 2018 over the purchase of a bungalow at allegedly below market price. Akmal also called for Thomas to clear the air over the authenticity of a purported leaked internal memo suggesting that the Attorney-General’s Chambers drop a 1MDB case involving former prime minister Najib Razak.
