He ranks as the No. 7 player overall, the No. 1 running back and the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania,For Campbell and Penn State, this visit is key in rekindling the relationship that once had Spell as a verbal commitment with the Nittany Lions.Spell had previously been to Penn State a total of 11 times. He was, and now once again is, the biggest priority for Penn State during the 2027 cycle. The 5-10, 210-pounder had an excellent 2025 season with his McKeesport Tigers, even though he battled injuries at times. He earned As Spell marches toward a much-anticipated senior season, Penn State will be keeping close tabs on the superstar. Retaining cornerbacks coach Terry Smith — key in the Lions’ recruiting efforts in the Pittsburgh area — will also be a big factor in Spell’s process.
