King Charles met with Gareth Southgate during a visit to Norbrook Community Centre in Wythenshawe
which included engagements in Manchester city centre, Trafford, Bolton and Wythenshawe.
He first made an under-the-radar stop at GCHQ's Manchester city centre offices where he received security briefings and also met staff trying to inspire the code-breakers of the future. Afterwards, he visited the Kellogg's factory in Trafford Park to mark the 100th anniversary of their presence in the UK. Crowds awaited his arrival in Bolton's main square ahead of a visit to the town hall which included him seeing LS Lowry's famous painting Going to the Match.
He then met England football manager Gareth Southgate as he visited United and Three Lions star Marcus Rashford's old youth club, Norbrook Community Centre in Wythenshawe.
