Paris Fashion Week may be in full swing, but in the city that never sleeps, nothing deters the glitterati from a Versace party.
The intimate New York affair in celebration of the Versace Icons collection was co-hosted by Donatella Versace and Anne Hathaway, the Academy Award-winning actress and face of the Icons campaign. Launched in April 2023, the Icons collection consists of elevated, everyday essentials. Donatella conceived of the collection to give confidence, courage, and freedom to express oneself through unapologetically feminine pieces, inspired by decades of collaborations with powerful women.
Heading from a bustling Fifth Avenue onto the Rockefeller Building rooftop, guests stepped into a romantic garden oasis. The terrace was transformed for the evening, with seating areas covered with plush Versace cushions, flickering candles aplenty, and a soft-lit Medusa head sitting high in the pond—we had officially entered the house of Versace.
Aside from the women of the hour, there were a number of other icons in attendance–supermodels and ’90s Versace muses Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen, Marisa Tomei, Rachel Brosnahan, Teyana Taylor, Geri Halliwell, Gucci West, and Aaron Rose Philip, to name a few. Inside, dinner was served as videos of the Versace Icon Diaries played in the background– a gallery of images illustrating what it means to be a modern icon through shared inspiration and collective power.Ariana DeBose, Donatella Versace, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Anne Hathaway, Geri Halliwell, Helena Christensen, Rachel Brosnahan
