Co-author Herbert J. Stern will discuss the new book at a virtual Warwick's event
What if Adolf Hitler had been overthrown by his own military leaders before World War II even began? How might history, and the world, have been different?In “Sins of the Fathers,” a novel co-written by Herbert J. Stern and Alan A. Winter, fact and fiction are interwoven in the recounting of events beneath the surface in pre-WWII Nazi Germany aimed at removing Hitler from power. The intricate details are factual, based on extensive research done by Stern and Winter.
He is also determined to see Hitler and his most dangerous henchmen stopped before unprecedented horror was inflicted upon Europe — and possibly beyond. Besides giving readers a conspiracy insider to root for, the authors wanted to present a more complex depiction of Adolf Hitler. “Chamberlain was a decent man. He pulled the trigger too late,” Stern said. Chamberlain declared war on Germany after the invasion of Poland on Sept. 1, 1939.
