The California Education Department named Wildwood, Havens and Beach among the year’s distinguished campuses.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced that the schools were among about 350 elementary schools selected for the prestigious program.
“Their innovation and hard work have helped to ensure that students can heal, recover and thrive even in the toughest times,” Thurmond said of the recognized schools.The Piedmont Asian American Club will celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Rabbit from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb 3 at Ellen Driscoll Theater, 325 Highland Ave.
The robber was described as Black, in his 50s, with a medium complexion, standing about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. He was bald, wore eyeglasses and a green jacket and purple hoodie, police were told.
