Family Sanity, an organization for parents of children and young adults contending with mental illness, will host “Autism Connect.”
Family Sanity, a parent support group for families with older children and young adults dealing with mental illness, will cover all of the questions above and more with a group of parents who have been down these roads at 7 p.m. Monday in a special “Autism Connect” event via Zoom. Keeping on top of what is available for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder can be a constant challenge, and this special meeting is designed to help those who need it.
Previously, she developed websites, crafted public information campaigns and supported online education tools at the Oakland Public Library, San Jose State University and as a digital strategy consultant for public and private sector clients. Schneider is originally from Denver and has lived in Oakland since 2002.The city of Piedmont will hold a community blood drive by the American Red Cross from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 8. All types of blood are needed.
