BREAKING: Imran Khan, Pakistan’s former prime minister arrested as part of a corruption inquiry, is to be released on bail.
The ousted leader has been accused of, while he was PM, being bribed with land for political favours for the university, the Al-Qadir Trust, set up by Mr Khan's third wife, Bushra Bib.
It was one of dozens of court cases launched by prosecutors against Mr Khan, with charges ranging from terrorism to corruption - he always failed to appear in court. They see it as a bid by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the military to keep Mr Khan well away from power.
