The shooting was reported around 11:15 p.m. Sunday near North Capitol Avenue and 38th Street.
INDIANAPOLIS — The brother of a man killed in a shooting on Indianapolis' near north side late Sunday has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the incident,According to court documents, a woman called saying her husband had been shot.
An IMPD spokesperson said responding officers located a man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.His wife told police Anderson and his brother had been arguing earlier in the night, according to detectives. She allegedly said her husband started putting his hands on this brother's shoulders and neck. She said the brother then shot her husband. She said the brother then shot her husband two or three more times when he was on the ground.
When questioned by police, the brother allegedly told detectives Anderson was beating him up and told him it was going to be"me or you." He said Anderson tried to grab his gun and said" If you don't do it to me, I'm going to do it to you," according to court documents. He allegedly said his brother kept coming toward him after the first shot and so he fired four more shots.
