31-year-old Luis Duran Ruano died from his injuries. The incident happened Sunday evening near West 34th Street and Georgetown Road.
INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD has released an edited video detailing events it said led up to officers shooting and killing a man in March.
An officer began talking with Duran-Ruano and SWAT Team members were called to the scene. Officers can be heard in the video telling Duran-Ruano they would take him to the hospital and to put the gun down. On Friday, April 5, IMPD identified the three officers who fired weapons as Officer Maverick Bowen, Officer Dustin Bland and Officer Vincent Marshall.
