Officers responded to the 800 block of West 25th Street, near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street, around 6:45 a.m. Monday.
INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD homicide detectives are investigating after a man who had been shot was found dead on Indianapolis' near northwest side Monday morning.800 block of West 25th Street, near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. StreetOfficers located a man inside a silver SUV in an alley with apparent traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and further examination revealed he had been shot, an IMPD spokesperson said.
Police said they don't currently believe the victim was living at the home, and that the victim's time of death was not immediately known. Anyone in the area who may have heard or seen something unusual between late Sunday and early Monday, or who has any information on the incident, is asked to contact the IMPD Homicide Office at 317-327-3475. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
