Another chilly night in the 30s has prompted a Freeze Watch for western counties tonight. MaryEllen Pann shows us timing and how soon we warm up.
Impact continues this morning because of a Frost Advisory in effect until 8 AM for Dauphin, Perry, Juniata and Mifflin counties. Temperatures may drop to the mid 30s. This will result in frosty areas which could damage or kill plants or tender vegetation. We’ll see peeks of sun early this morning before a system passing by south, and some upper-level energy, combine to bring a return of clouds for much of the day today. Highs are much cooler in the 50s. Winds pick up about 5-15 miles per hour.
Be sure to protect tender vegetation or sensitive plants. It’s a pleasant start to the work week. Earth Day is mostly sunny with highs back into the low to mid 60s. Primary day is even warmer, as temperatures climb close to 70-degrees! We’ll begin the day with sunshine then clouds will slowly roll across the Valley by afternoon. Showers hold off until overnight, as the next system approaches from the west. Scattered showers are possible the first half of Wednesday before drier conditions return.
