KUALA LUMPUR: Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin said today the government can send any foreigner “who is not wanted in this country” back to their country.

“The Immigration director-general, under Section 9 can take action against any foreigner who we feel is unwanted in this country,” he told the Dewan Rakyat. He was replying to Teresa Kok who had asked him if the ministry would probe complaints raised by Bangladesh national Rayhan Kabir, 25, who was featured in the Al Jazeera documentary “Locked Up in Malaysia’s Lockdown”.

She also said Al Jazeera’s office was raided by the authorities today and wanted to know why, showing displeasure that her question had not been properly answered.
