Have any lucky numbers? This may be your sign to play them next time you buy a lotto ticket.
The ticket was purchased as part of a Lucky Day Lotto drawing sold onlineHave any lucky numbers? This may be your sign to play them next time you buy a lotto ticket. One Illinois mother did just that -- playing a March 13 Lucky Day Lotto game using her children's birthday as the numbers -- and struck an $800,000 jackpot in the process.
According to the Illinois Lottery, the winner, who chose to remain anonymous under the name"Jenny," says she was in"complete shock" when she learned she had won. “My usual numbers are always a combination of my birthday and my kids’ birthdays," she said in a release. Jenny's ticket, which was purchased online on the Illinois Lottery's website, matched all five numbers -- 8, 11, 15, 23, 37 to win the top prize, the lottery said. “Something magical happened that day,” Jenny said “Everything changed when I played Lucky Day Lotto at home.” Lucky Day Lotto has two daily drawings, the Illinois Lottery said, at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. Daily jackpots start at $100,000.
