MAYNILA - Naglabas na ng guidelines ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board para sa balik operasyon ng mga "roadworthy" traditional jeepney sa Metro Manila.
Sa inilabas na memorandum ng LTFRB nitong Martes, pwede nang makabiyahe ang ilang mga traditional jeepney sa mga ruta sa Metro Manila na binanggit sa memorandum simula sa Biyernes, July 3, nang walang special permit. Sa halip, may ilalabas na QR code sa operator bago magbalik operasyon, na kailangan i-print at ipaskil sa jeep. Pwede itong ma-download sa LTFRB website na www.ltfrb.gov.ph.
Dagdag ng ahensya, dapat bigyan ng operators ang mga public utility jeepneys ng Land Transportation Office at Personal Passenger Insurance Policy.Ipatutupad din ang safety measures tulad ng pagcheck sa body temperature; pagsuot ng face mask; pagpapatupad ng 50 percent maximum capacity; at pamamahagi ng passenger contact forms.
Ayon sa Department of Transportation, tinatayang 6,002 units ang makababiyahe sa 49 na ruta na kanilang inilabas.
